COTTON BENEFITS.
Natural.
Cotton is a plant grown in the earth. It starts as a seed, and as the plant grows, the flowers drop leaving a ripening seed pod that becomes the cotton boll which contain the fibres inside. These are spun and then woven into the soft fabric we know and love.
Breathes
Cotton is soft, absorbent, and breathable. Cotton is better than oil-based synthetic fabrics as it allows airflow to pass through the fibres making it comfortable as you exercise, keeping moisture from building up between your skin and clothing.
Easy to Wash
Cotton is easier to wash and care for than other fabrics. It has a high tensile strength, making it strong, durable and less likely to rip or tear in the wash. Unlike synthetics, cotton also doesn’t shed microplastic pollution into our environment.
Prints Perfect
Cotton is the ultimate choice for printing, as it absorbs the ink more readily than man-made fabrics do. If you’re looking for the most opaque result, 100% cotton is your best bet. This fabric generally has a better result due to its tight weave.

COMBED COTTON ADVANTAGE.
Cotton is available in a variety of textures and thicknesses. Regular T-shirts are made from carded cotton meaning the fibres have not been brushed for impurities & hence are bulky, fuzzy and create an uneven knit.
At Planett we use combed cotton for all most quality street apparel and accessories. Combed cotton is a process which looks and feels premium because it increases the actual quality of cotton. When cotton is literally combed, brushes are used to remove any remaining impurities.
This combing process also removes many of the short fibres. If regular or pre-shunk cotton feels scratchy to you, it might be because of these impurities. If you’re exploring the softer side of cotton, then choosing Planett wont disappoint.
